“Secret Cinema – Fake so Real” deals with a layered relation between films and urban locations where they were shot. The films thematizing economic inequality, domination of police surveillance, seizure of real property, gender and racial prejudice, ideological unfitting are located in urban settings whose landscapes are being played and manipulated with to make an impact on the spectator. The screening will take almost an entire day at an intimate cinema created especially for the occasion inside one of the rooms at the Old Military Hospital. The list and the screening timetable of the films selected by Inesa Antić will be available at the location only.
Inesa Antić took an MA in political science at the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb. She has been working as a journalist and editor in the field of film. Inesa Antić is a co-founder and editor of the first domestic Internet portal dedicated to film – www.filmski.net. Upon graduation from Restart’s School of Documentary Film, she started making films and her first film, a short documentary titled “The Consequences of Work” (2017), premiered on ZagrebDox. Antić’s latest film, a docufiction film “Rosa” (2018, co-authorship with Nikolina Rafaj), will be screened at the GMK Gallery during the Festival. The film was initiated during the last year’s Festival edition.
