Rooftop yoga classes in Martićeva

New! New! New! Starting next Friday, April 14 at 6 PM, classes of Vinyasa Flow / Ashanta yoga will be held on a rooftop of the building in Martićeva Street 45, just towards a sunset (and beautiful view on the entire city) and under the mentorship of Izabela Marić.

In the Search of Circle’s Beginning

It’s the title of the last novel by writer and university professor Marinko Koščec, which house Sandorf published in Zagreb in 2016. The author will present the book on February 28 at 7 PM in club Booksa, as a part of its program Literary budoir, this time led by Tomislav Augustinčić.

Unidentified Flying Objetcs in the Hood

UFO, a new exhibition in Gallery Miroslav Kraljević by Ana Vuzdarić and Marko Gutić Mižimakov is part of the project My sweet little lamb (Everything we see could also be otherwise) which presents works from the Kontakt Collection in Vienna along with other historical, contemporary and new works that provide interpretations and critical rethinking of the collection.

Design Dialogues #21: Marina Jukić

Guest of the first Design Dialogues in 2017 is a young designer Marina Jukić, design team leader and digital designer for mobile and web applications at Infinum (Zagreb, Croatia).


How the Steel Was Tempered in Booksa

Thursday, January 19 in literary club Booksa will be under the sign of a cult novel How the Steel Was Tempered by Russian and Ukrainian writer Nikolai Ostrovsky (1904. ― 1936.), classic author of communist literature.




Slatka priča

The Slatka Priča pastry shop was started in 2013, and is currently in three places – Kranjčevićeva Street, Ivana Brlić Mažuranić Street in Zagreb’s Malešnica neighborhood, and, of course, Martićeva Street (since 2016), more precisely at the busy corner of Martićeva and Smičiklasova.


Mikrofon is a music school started in 2009, located in the charming inner courtyard of 19 Martićeva Street. Its predecessor was the Vocal Studio Maraton vocal workshop from Rijeka, and the school has since then grown from offering single singing lessons to group singing and lessons for children, as well as instrumental music lessons.

Medveščak Library

The Medveščak Library, our neighborhood’s branch of Zagreb City Libraries, encompasses three departments – adult, children’s and youth (also known as “Idi pa Vidi”, or “Come and See”). Besides normal library duties, the library also engages in setting up various exhibitions in its windows, and workshops in the rooms of the youth and children’s departments.  

Pogon Mislavova

Pogon Mislavova is one of the two locations of Pogon – Zagreb’s independent culture and youth center (the other is located in the Trnje neighborhood near the river Sava, in the larger half of the former Jedinstvo factory – the smaller half is occupied by club Močvara).

Deseto selo

The design studio with the unconventional name Deseto Selo (Tenth village) was founded in 2012 by Bojana Bota, Ana Ćurković Zelić and Sanja Dvornik. They settled in Zagreb’s Design District in 2015, and since then have been taking part in its good creative vibrations.
