Design Dialogues #25: Marko Hrastovec


A lecture by Dinko Peračić and Roman Šilje


On Tuesday 21 March 2017 at 7 pm in Oris House of Architecture, architects Dinko Peračić and Roman Šilje will deliver a lecture on the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Osijek. The faculty’s new building, which is the project of Peračić and Šilje, officially opened in April 2016. The architects will present all stages of its development, from the context, initial ideas, restrictions of the terrain, adjustments to the final realization.

Global Children’s Designathon held in Croatia for the first time

  On November 12 2016 Zagreb was one of global hosts of the Global Children’s Designathon project. Using the method of design thinking the children who participated created prototypes of products for better future and thus experienced circular economy in practice.

Ars publicae 2016: Water and public space

An open call for the preliminary design of the new Zagreb fountains or pumps is in course, announced as part of the two-year programme Water and Public Space by the Association for Interdisciplinary and Intercultural Research (UIII) and its accompanying project Ars Publicae.

DDZ is the Grand Prize Winner of the Croatian Designers Society

The festival Design District Zagreb, whose first edition was held this year in the Martićeva zone, won the Grand Prize of the Croatian Designers Society (HDD). The official declaration of the winner was announced at the opening of the biennial Exhibition of Croatian Design 1516 at the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb. 

36 Mountains Festival is coming to the HDLU

The very beginning of September in Zagreb is now reserved for illustration! This Friday, September 2nd at 19:00 in the Gallery Bačva of the Croatian Association of Artists (aka the Džamija), the opening of the second edition of 36 Mountains will be hosted as an international festival of illustrations with a local address, and will last until Sunday, September 4th.
