G-MK announces an open call for exposition

 

Miroslav Kraljevic Gallery invites visual, new media and performance artists/researchers from other fields to participate in the competition for the production of new work in the field of contemporary art.

For the contest, applicants can submit ideas, plans or work already in progress, unfinished artworks or projects. Given the orientation and work presented by the Gallery, priority is given to artists and or researchers whose work is based on interdisciplinary research, or permeation of different practices. For the contest, only ideas or works that are in the first phase of implementation will be considered. More sophisticated and previously exhibited works or projects will not be considered. Authors are advised, prior to the application, to review the works of the gallery on their website: www.g-mk.hr.

This is the third year that the Gallery invites applications for the production of new work, thus achieving one of its program guidelines, encouraging the production of works and projects of broader social significance to create a living place of cultural exchange and production. With that, the author elected will be provided advice from the curator of the Gallery in consideration and implementation of the work, he/she will have access to all resources at the gallery, along with financial support for the realization of the work and its presentation as part of the Gallery’s program.

The deadline for submission of applications is June 12th, 2016. Works can be submitted by mail: info@g-mk.hr, with the subject: For the contest. Applications can be sent to the following address: Miroslav Kraljević Gallery, Šubićeva 29, 10 000 Zagreb, Subject: For the contest.
