Cafe Restaurant/bistro

Discover the place where you will forget everyday life for a moment and wander off relaxed with a cup of ORO – premium Italian coffee, left intoxicated by its smell and taste while contemplatively experiencing reality.

While traveling through Italy, observing Italian lifestyle, the owners of Verde brunch & caffe wanted to provide their fellow citizens with a touch of Italian atmosphere.

Verde is here for all those who love coffee, tea and exquisite delicacies at all hours of the day — tasty bites quickly put together from fresh ingredients from the local market Kvatrić, San Daniele prosciutto, parmigiano, Buratta, frittellina with seaweed, to fresh, gluten-free bread, zlevanke and other pastries, sandwiches and natural juices a la Verde… all pleasures that you deserve. Lovers of gin, rum, whiskey and cocktails will also find a unique experience and interesting choice here.

In an atmosphere of good music and the harmony of tunes by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Henry Mancini, Tony Bennett, Mario Lanza, Lucciano Pavarotti and others, the world is still perceived differently. In such an atmosphere, every gathering enters another dimension. The space created by the owners themsleves evokes a sense of a desirable home with its intimacy and warmth, where all are welcome. Already by its very name, Verde (“green”) suggests the continual renewal of nature and the beauty of life.

The interior is additionally enriched with a sculpture by the sculptor Krešimir Katičić that suggests harmony as a correlation or dialogue between two plant tresses. As a manifestation of more subtle forms of life, the plant provides space for imagination of the unspoken. It appears as the pursuit of harmony that man needs today, more than ever.

Atelier Ostrman

One of the more interesting locations in Lopašićeva Street is the art studio of the painter Tomislav Ostrman, Atelier Ostrman, where he exhibits and sells his own pieces and those of his colleagues and friends, alongside organizing small social events in this attractive workshop.

Garderoba Concept Store

With the opening of Ana Ivančić’s Garderoba, Zagreb got its first conceptual showroom for Scandinavian fashion. Garderoba is a carefully thought-out project, a room whose elements have all been designed by brilliant Croatian designers and architects, thus also adding a Croatian brand to the offer.

Slatka priča

The Slatka Priča pastry shop was started in 2013, and is currently in three places – Kranjčevićeva Street, Ivana Brlić Mažuranić Street in Zagreb’s Malešnica neighborhood, and, of course, Martićeva Street (since 2016), more precisely at the busy corner of Martićeva and Smičiklasova.

Mikrofon is a music school started in 2009, located in the charming inner courtyard of 19 Martićeva Street. Its predecessor was the Vocal Studio Maraton vocal workshop from Rijeka, and the school has since then grown from offering single singing lessons to group singing and lessons for children, as well as instrumental music lessons.

Medveščak Library

The Medveščak Library, our neighborhood’s branch of Zagreb City Libraries, encompasses three departments – adult, children’s and youth (also known as “Idi pa Vidi”, or “Come and See”). Besides normal library duties, the library also engages in setting up various exhibitions in its windows, and workshops in the rooms of the youth and children’s departments.
