How do objects and architecture affect our emotions and change the way we experience space? What artistic interventions can we undertake to experience something uncommon – AFTERLIFE? As part of this workshop, we will be going through all its phases and talk about emotions that appear as a result of out-of-body near-death experiences: empathy, collective connection, the experience of synesthesia, new beginnings, the wish to keep learning new things… We will be discussing what objects we can produce to potentiate such an experience (seeing world with new eyes). Using what we learned, we will design in a medium that we want to express ourselves in. There are deep connections between people and Earth that have far-ranging social, private, and economic repercussions. How to think not only in the context of modern, historical, mythological, and traditional, but also through the spectrum of experiences and emotions that question new beginnings, and facing death as part of life?
Results of the workshop will then be exhibited on June 17th and 18th in the form of concepts or completed works, depending on the medium. Especially welcome are creatives – students and professionals (design, film, music, art, dance, fashion, …) who will deliver the maximum in a short time and with limited resources.
