Ilustration as a form of visual expression has been becoming more popular with the continous growth of Internet and its social networks, and many boys and girls prone to scribbling even in their preschool age daydream about one day illustrating books, make murals, draw comics and make Pepsi ads.
The question here is whether illustration and design can go one without the other, but the fact remains that they hang out gladly and often, and the local (and regional) illustrator scene has become strong enough to have its own festival(s) and its own little market, but also some recognizable authors threatening to one day become true world stars. As part of the grand finale of the Design Dialogues, we decided to bother three of them, who approach illustration in very original ways and work in different areas, for a talk, so we can expect to hear a lot about what it’s like being an illustrator here and now. Anyone who cannot resist good, pretty, or smart illustrations should not miss this conversation!
