After a series of the first ten Design Dialogues, whose good attendance convinced us that the audience loves this program, we are happily continuing! The new guest at the Croatian Design Superstore will be Zoran Đukić, a renowned designer of the younger generation. Until recently, he made up for one half of the duo đukićpavlović, now he works solo and with associates at the đkć studio. Zoran Đukić was born in Dubrovnik in 1985, he graduated design of visual communications at the School of Design, Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb in 2011. That same year, he founded a very successful studio with his colleague Jan Pavlović, and ‘became independent’ in 2015.
Until now, Đukić has mostly worked in the field of culture, and among his many projects he likes to point out the visual identity of Croatia at the Biennale of Architecture in Venice in 2014, as well as the identity of the Rendez-vous festival of France in Croatia in 2015, Motovun Film Festival, and many years of work on designing the Illetricity festival of electronic music (with Pavlović and independently). He has also worked on market-oriented projects. Last year in cooperation with Vanja Pavlović he did the rebranding of the company Optima Telekom.
With Zoran we’ll talk about his most famous and less known projects, about the joys and obstacles that freelancing and collaborative work bring, and the life of young designers in Croatia, here and now. All that, along with a glass of good wine in good company.
The program Design Dialogues is coordinated and led by designer and art critic Bojan Krištofić, a member of the CDSS team. As a permanent selling and exhibitional space dedicated to products and concepts by exclusively local designers, the Croatian Design Superstore has already made significant steps forward towards gathering and networking designers and exposing their work on the market, now giving the audience a chance to socialize with the authors that stand behind outstanding design. See you!
