The young linguist, journalist and poet Dijana Ćurković will present her debut collection of poetry Verses of the Bottom on 12 October in Booksa, accompanied by illustrator Vuk Oreb and the book editor Ivana Glavaš Brklja.
The first book of poems by Dijana Ćurković was published by Iris Illyrica publishing house, known for its publications in the field of belles-lettres, comics and nonfiction. Besides dealing with visual arts, illustrator Vuk Oreb is also a DJ and rap MC in the band Kiša metaka. In addition to literary evening Booksa will also host a small exhibition of Oreb’s illustrations.
Highlights from the event’s announcement: “It is possible that you have already encountered Dijana’s scientific and socio-analytical texts, but you probably didn’t know that behind that rational pen a poetic soul is hidden. Dijana is a playful poet, bold in rewriting literary tradition, but also in lyrical and content experimentation. The results of her “playing with poetry” are fun, intelligent and moving poems that communicate with readers excellently.”
See you in Booksa at celebration of poetry and visual arts!
