Today, Friday, September 23rd at 19 h, young poet Vladimir Milojković from Subotica will visit literary club Booksa where he will present his new collection of signalistic poetry Conversations with Herth to the public. Join the poetic celebration on this first day of autumn!
According to Booksa: “Vladimir Milojković first appeared on the literary scene as a high school student in the competition held by the Cultural Center in Ivanjica where he was awarded third prize by national coach, poet Duško Trifunović. What followed was a lot of participation and awards in various literary competitions, as well as the collection that he will speak about at the presentation, for which he was awarded first prize by the Student cultural center in Kragujevac. To hone his poetry skills, this young poet diligently worked on several creative writing workshops in Novi Sad and Subotica. Upon the invitation of Miroljub Todorović, he participated in the creation of collections of scientific and artistic signalistic works at The Magic of Signalism / Magija signalizma (2016), and he could be heard and seen at poetry readings at the House of poetry (NS), Poetarium (NS), URLIK (SU), Pesničenje (BG) and ARGH! (BG). In recent years, Vladimir combines visual arts and poetry with multimedia performance, combining them with sound or audio poetry. He is editor of massigliebe.blogspot.com blog where he publishes his own works, as well as work of other authors.
The collection Conversations with Herth is named after a cycle of short poems that are a part of the collection published in 2014. If you want to hear what signalist poetry is, then you should come to listen to what Vladimir has to say. It is interesting to note that Vladimir also visually edited Conversations with Herth, and this — the combination of visual arts and literature — will also be one of the topics of the evening.
